It’s crazy how fast summer goes by. We’re now well into July which means you can expect scorching temperatures.
And nothing says summer quite like a cool, refreshing glass of iced tea. Don’t get us wrong, iced tea is fantastic and the perfect go-to drink choice for a hot summers day, but there’s definitely a few ways to make it even better and that includes spiking it.
So, to beat the heat this summer, we’re sharing an incredibly delicious grown-up twist on a Southern classic — boozy peach iced tea. This is the perfect thirst quencher to enjoy while sitting on a deck, watching the sunset and enjoying the company of friends and family.
What makes this recipe even more incredible is that it only requires a few ingredients. All you need to do is mix For Tea’s Sake Just Peachy Black Tea with lemonade; a spike of vodka (if you add extra we won’t judge) and some fresh fruit for garnish and you’ve got yourself a little piece of heaven in a glass.
-2 oz. Vodka
-1 tablespoon For Tea’s Sake Just Peachy Black Tea (1 tablespoon is the ideal amount for an 8 oz glass. If you want to make a pitcher just add more tea to taste.)
-3 oz. Lemonade
-1/2 Peach, sliced
-1/2 Lemon, sliced
-Fresh Mint, for garnish.
-Make a normal batch of tea and let it reach room temperature
-Fill glass with ice and add vodka
-Pour in lemonade and blend together
-Add desired amount of fruit
-Garnish with fresh mint
