For those that truly love tea, you like to enjoy it every way that you can. Whether it’s served hot or cold, in a smoothie, or even food, the way to your heart is through the relaxing aroma of tea.
Once you try baking with loose-leaf tea, you’ll become hooked. We’re sharing a recipe for our favourite earl grey infused cookies, which are perfect to serve at a tea party, wedding or bridal shower, or whenever you’re hungry for a savoury treat.
-2 Cups of all-purpose flour
-2 Tablespoons of loose-leaf Shades of Earl Grey Tea from For Tea’s Sake
-1/2 Teaspoon of salt
-3/4 Cup of confectioners’ sugar
-1 Teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
-1 Cup (2 sticks) of butter at room temperature
-In a food processor, mix together the flour, tea, and salt until you can just spot the tea throughout the flour.
-Add in the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and butter.
-Blend together until dough is formed.
-Place dough on a sheet of plastic-wrap and roll into a log, about 2 ½-inches in diameter.
-Tightly wrap the dough and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
-Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
-Slice the log of dough into 1/3-inch thick disks.
-Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
-Let cookies cool and enjoy!
